Fluke Networks Certified Cabling Test Technician (CCTT) Workshop

The Fluke Networks Certified Cabling Test Technician™ (CCTT) is a two-day training and certification program that covers the standards, techniques, documentation and troubleshooting of copper and fiber network infrastructure, with extensive hands-on exercises using the Fluke Networks Versiv Cabling Certification System.

It is uniquely designed for network cabling contractors and enterprise network owners who currently own or anticipate purchasing Versiv / DSX series cable certification equipment.

COURSE OUTLINE

Day 1 - DSX Cable Analyzer Testing

• Versiv introduction and common settings 
  
• Exporting configuration and results
• Copper test limits/standards
• Adapter types
• Configuring for a twist pair test
• Making a measurement and reviewing the result
• New test parameters DC Resistance Unbalance, TCL, ELTCTL.
• DSX diagnostics HDTDX and HDTDR
• Patch cord certification
• Alien Crosstalk

Day 2 - CertiFiber Pro and OptiFiber Pro Testing

• Basic fiber theory
• Encircled Flux
• Configuring the CertiFiber Pro
• Fiber inspection
• Automated analysis
• Setting a reference for a LC to LC duplex link
• New test parameters DC Resistance Unbalance, TCL, ELTCTL.
• Creating a custom test limit
• ISO/IEC 14763-3
• Understanding how the different connector losses differ from other standards
• Setting a reference for a simplex link. SC/APC to SC/APC
• OTDR theory
• Configuring the OptiFiber Pro
• Trace analysis
• LinkWare results management

Examination & Certificate: The course includes a multiple-choice exam, which will take place online once the course material has been delivered on each day. Results will be announced automatically after completing it online. Signed certificate with a 2-years validity will be issued to those attendees who passed each exam (and will be deemed as successfully completing the course).
