Level 2 – Infrared Thermography Certification Course
Master the Science of Heat. Secure Your Professional Certification. Accreditation Badges (Visual):
Compliant with ASNT SNT-TC-1A • BINDT CM/IRT • ISO • European Standards
The Level II Infrared Thermography course is tailored for certified Level I thermographers who want to deepen their expertise and expand their inspection capabilities. This program provides a comprehensive exploration of thermal physics, advanced thermographic principles, and real-world applications.
While Level I focuses on qualitative analysis (identifying temperature differences), Level II emphasizes quantitative measurement—covering temperature accuracy, emissivity, transmissivity, and the practical use of thermographic data, formulas, and reference materials.
Participants will enhance their skills in condition monitoring and non-destructive testing (NDT), while also learning how to review, develop, and implement industry-standard inspection procedures.
The course follows the ASNT-TC-1A recommended guidelines, and participants who meet all training and examination requirements will be eligible for ASNT certification.
Your Lead Trainer: Certified Expertise in Every Session
Mr. Newport is a globally recognized expert in the infrared industry and is celebrated as the leading educator and promoter of infrared thermography. Since entering the field, he has pioneered numerous techniques and applications still in use today, having conducted his first electrical inspection in 1976, backed by a solid educational and practical background in electrical systems.
He actively contributes to various committees to develop standards and procedures for infrared thermography. His work with the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) and the British Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) has helped establish European and International Infrared Standards, and he is involved with the International Standards Organization (ISO) to create a global infrared standard. The standards for Level I, Level II, and Level III Thermography he helped establish now serve as templates for many countries.
Mr. Newport is a published expert in this technique, with numerous papers featured in trade journals and conferences. As a dynamic speaker and educator, he is often invited to lecture at universities and is a sought-after presenter at international conferences for organizations like Maintenance Technology, IEEE, ASNT, and Reliability International.
